Matcha Cupcakes with Buttercream

Instructions

Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius.

Beat the eggs in a bowl with buttermilk, sugar, vanilla extract, and sunflower oil.

Add the flour, the organic ceremonial matcha powder, the organic spirulina powder, the baking powder, the salt, the pepper, and mix them.

Add the water and continue to mix.

Pour the mix into cupcake forms and bake for approximately 30 minutes.

For the buttercream

Place all the ingredients in a mixer’s bin and mix them.

When the cupcakes are cold, decorate them with buttercream.

  • 100 gr. Eggs
  • 250 gr. Buttermilk
  • 300 gr. Sugar
  • 5 gr. Vanilla Extract
  • 120 gr. Sunflower Oil
  • 120 gr. Water
  • 340 gr. Farina
  • 10 gr. Organic Spirulina Powder
  • 30 gr. Organic Ceremonial Matcha Powder
  • 8 gr. Baking Powder
  • 5 gr. Salt
  • 2 gr. Pepper
  • For the buttercream:
  • 300 gr. Unsalted Butter
  • 150 gr. Powdered Sugar
  • 30 gr. Organic Ceremonial Matcha Powder
  • 5 gr. Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch of Salt
